How to Order Condom Beads for Your Krewe

Getting the throw onto your float is a short, predictable process. Set a count, pick your colors, send artwork if you want it printed, leave room for production, and check out. Do it early and your strands are in hand while there is still route left to work.

Start Your Order

Step 1: Set your count

Start with how many strands the float needs. Because the condom bead is a standout catch, not a case-emptying common strand, most krewes order a modest count per rider plus a shared float reserve for the thickest stretches of the route. If your krewe rolls in more than one parade, add every date up front so a single order covers the whole season. For a full sizing method by rider and event, work through the buying guide first.

Step 2: Pick your colors

Choose the bead strand color and the condom pouch color. The strand comes in the full Carnival range, from the classic purple, green, and gold to red, blue, silver, black, orange, hot pink, light pink, navy, maroon, lime green, and rainbow. Pouches are available in red, blue, black, gold, green, orange, or clear. Locking one scheme keeps your signature throw recognizable from across the neutral ground all season.

Step 3: Send your artwork

The bead carries a full-color decal, 2.125 inches round with full-bleed printing, so a krewe crest or sponsor logo prints right on the catch. Supply artwork as a vector .eps or .ai file, a PDF, or a clean jpeg for the sharpest result.

Prefer no logo?

A custom mark is optional. You can order the strand plain and still hand out the same patented throw, which also trims the per-strand cost slightly. Krewes running a sponsor tie-in or a milestone anniversary usually take the printed option; casual orders often skip it.

Step 4: Allow lead time

Custom throws are made to order, so build in a buffer. Plan for a one-time setup fee on printed art and a production window of roughly five to seven working days after your artwork is approved, plus transit time to your door. Carnival planning starts weeks before the first roll, and popular items tighten as the season nears, so ordering early is the difference between a loaded float and a scramble.

Step 5: Check out securely

Every order for this bead routes through the store behind the whole Bead Guy family. Case sizes, current pricing, and quantity breaks all live on the product page, where you can review options and check out securely. Because United States tariffs can shift pricing month to month, confirm the live rate before you finalize your count.
